We Are All Winners!

The message for upcoming Special Olympics Sweden Invitational Games 2026 is clear: We Are All Winners!
When someone gets the chance to run their first race, share their first high five, and feel strong – it’s not just a personal win – it’s a win for us all.
People with intellectual disabilities are less physically active and generally have poorer health than others. They also receive less support and fewer opportunities to be physically active. This leads to increased health problems, lower quality of life, and higher societal costs.
Special Olympics Sweden wants to change that. The event Special Olympics Sweden Invitational Games 2026 will be the largest sporting event in Sweden’s history for people with intellectual disabilities – where sport, belonging, and health move us forward together.
Through collaboration on health initiatives and opportunities for more sport, together with municipalities, regions, academia, and government agencies, we can create conditions for a healthier lifestyle.
It is not just a win for the individual; it is a win for society as a whole. So when one person wins – everyone wins.
