Tonight: Opening Ceremony of SOSIG 2026

Everyone is now in Malmö. Athletes, coaches, and clubs from Sweden and 25 other countries have gathered to take part in the Special Olympics Sweden Invitational Games 2026. Tonight, it is time for the Opening Ceremony, marking the start of a great celebration of sport and community.
Throughout the weekend, there will be competitions in 11 sports, opportunities to make new friends across borders, and plenty of activities for both participants and visitors. The event is the largest sports event ever held in Sweden for people with intellectual disabilities.
The Opening Ceremony at Folkets Park is open to everyone. Visitors can look forward to a colorful parade featuring all participating nations, along with music, dancing, and a festive atmosphere.
All activities throughout the weekend are completely free for visitors.
